Nice win at 9-1 by Rhys in the 7th at Gulfstream...filly - Storm Cat x Tina Bull.

So I know somebody who had a baby last year and named it Rhys.  Except he (well, his wife) had a colt, not a filly!

Rockport Harbor's sister Chipandaputt was in the same race, unfortanlly she doesn't seem to have the same talent as he did. Sad

Yeah, I always thought Rhys was a male name. 

Besides Chipanaputt, Rutherienne's 1/2 sister, Ruthville (3rd), and Simply Carina, a daughter of Astra (10th) were also in the race that Rhys won.

Oh yes saw Superior Selection win too...that was a blowout. A lot of good offspring in that race too.

I guess when I heard them pronounce Rhys, the first person I thought of was Reese Witherspoon.....

MM any pics of Rhys or Superior Selection by any chance? If I remember correctly...Rhys sure looks just like mom!

No, Rhys is a dark bay.  Her first foal, Tina's Time, is a grey, though.

I think all her offspring have a similar look.  The Awesome Again is probably the least like the others.

I'm kinda wondering what happened to Tina's Time.  She's unraced and I don't think she ever made the worktab.  She wasn't bred last year.  If she doesn't show up as having been bred this year, I'm going to think she's probably dead.

She scratched when the race came off the turf.  The fully subscribed race is now down to 5 starters.
