I was debating whether to go back to Santa Anita this week or go to Gulfstream. Since we did SA last week, I thought this week we would go to:

* Gulfstream - full card
* plus the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn.

First post at Gulfstream is 1:15 pm ET. Not sure yet what the race number is for Oaklawn as their entries won't be up until I believe tomorrow.

Thanks and good luck everyone!!!

Sounds good Wando.  Interesting you stayed away form the Zenyatta and Rachel races.  Either your thought they were gimmies or you just wanted us all to sit back and enjoy them without anything riding on them.  Let's call it official unless there is an overwhelming throng of objectors.   Grin Roll Eyes

Good luck on the repeat, well maybe not . . . just kidding!?   Cool

I actually first thought of going to the Fair Grounds, but changed my mind when I saw that Rachel's race only had 5 entries and there's probably a good chance that it would scratch down to becoming a non contest race. I also figured that Zenyatta's race would have a similar number of starters, but was surprised that it did fill. So it came down for me to Santa Anita versus Gulfstream. I know some people don't like synthetics that much (me I really don't care), so I thought a return to the main choice being a dirt track might be appreciated. Plus the Gulfstream Park Hdcp appears to be an interesting race with the return of some old favourites like Harlem Rocker, Cool Coal Man, etc.  I also thought about the full card at Oaklawn, but for purely selfish reasons (Oaklawn isn't shown on the Canadian racing network (HPI) on the weekends and I do enjoy watching and seeing how I'm doing rather than checking the results on DRF/Equibase) so I just opted for the simo there, which will be shown on HPI as an extra race.

Good luck to you too!!!  Grin
